During my years in China I was always fascinated by brand obsession. The biggest, most visible display of success being car ownership. Beijing's biggest second hand car market is littered with last year's mercedes models with owners only wanting the very latest.
Drop off and pick up zones at Beijing's international airport were like a mercedes car sales yard.
